Evangelist Kim Smith

Evangelist Kim Smith is the eldest of three brothers and two sisters. She was raised in a Christian

home where her mother is the Rock at the Unified Body of Christ Church located in Denver, Colorado.

Kim has been married to Terrence Smith for more than thirty-four years.  They have been blessed with three daughters Andrea, Tinisha and Tierra.  They also have seven grandchildren who they enjoy spending time with making memories.

Kim is a native of Denver, Colorado.  She relocated to Summerville, South Carolina with her husband Terrence.  She has received several degrees; one in Business MGMT and a Masters in both Theology and Christian & Biblical Counseling just to name a few.  Kim was selected in 2011 to attend Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts in which she received a certificate in Labor Studies.  She has also received a certificate in Leadership from United Steel Workers Union and a certificate in Labor Studies from Wayne State University. Kim was inducted as an honorary member of Phi Theta Kappa when she made the international dean’s list and was Magna Cum Laude and Summa Cum Laude throughout her college education.

Recently receiving a Certificate and Certification with both Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid. During the COVID Pandemic, Kim took complete advantage of the free education that has been offered in both the secular and in leadership for the Body of Christ.

Kim worked for more than twenty-four years at Westvaco Papermill in North Charleston, SC. She became interested in the Union and begin to take on several leadership roles within her Local Union. Kim was voted the first black female president of her local serving for more than eleven years. It was then Kim realized that with God ALL things are possible, and He has a plan for her life. Because of her leadership skills, Kim was appointed the first female to serve within the District as an International Staff Representative since the merger of the USW. From a young age Kim gave her life to Christ and has worked in ministry. Kim is a member of Grace Fellowship Ministries in Ladson South Carolina where Pastor Sandra and Apostle Freddie are the pastors. For many years Kim has served or continues to serve in many capacities within the Body of Christ such as Sunday School Teacher, Minister of the Young Adult Ministry, Minister


Andrea L. Alston

Andrea Alston is the eldest of three daughters to Terrence & Kim Smith. She was born in Denver, Colorado and raised in Summerville, SC.
Andrea is married to Mario Alston and they have four children. Nyasia, 22, is a graduate student at USC Columbia. DeAndre, 20, is a freshman at NC Central. Freddie Jr. & Kayla, both 15, are freshmen at Stratford High School.
Andrea attended school in Dorchester County and received her high school diploma from Summerville High School. Upon completion, she began her college studies at Trident Technical College, Charleston Southern University and University of Phoenix. Andrea has received several degrees including a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She further went on the receive her master’s degree in Business Management with an emphasis in healthcare management. After this, she received her Human Resources Management certification. Due to her grades and dedication, Andrea was inducted as an honorary member of Phi Theta Kappa when she made the international dean’s list.
Andrea has worked in a variety of industries to include retail, automotive, finance, and healthcare over the last twenty-two years. During her professional career she has become ISO 14001 Certified White and Yellow Belt in Lean Manufacturing and is most recently a UCLA Leadership graduate. She is currently a Human Resources Manager at Fetter Health Care Network in Charleston, S.C.
Andrea was baptized and accepted Jesus Christ as her savior at an early age of eleven years old at Faith House of Prayer in Ladson, SC. As she began her spiritual journey and growth in Christ, she attended Covenant Bible College and Seminary at Haven Institute Ministry in Summerville, South Carolina. After three years, Andrea graduated with an Advanced Associate degree in biblical studies.
Andrea is an effective leader and is zealous about making certain things are in order, clear, and direct to promote a successful outcome. She loves the Lord and although quiet, is bold about sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Her passion is prayer, and she leads by example as a mighty prayer warrior always interceding on behalf of others. She played an intricate role in helping start the ZOOM International Women’s Ministry and serves on the board as the Executive Director. She also serves on other boards such as the board for the Black Pages and I Am Voices,
Andrea is a member of Grace Fellowship Ministries in Ladson, South Carolina where Pastor Sandra and Apostle Freddie are pastors. For many years, Andrea served or continues to serve in many capacities within the Body of Christ such as Sunday School Teacher, Youth Department Leader, Praise & Worship team, choir member, usher board, and member of the finance committee. She recently received a Certificate and Certification with both Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid. During the COVID Pan-demic, Andrea has taken complete advantage of the free education that has been offered in both the secular and in leadership for the Body of Christ.
One of her favorite scriptures is Philippians 4:6-8, because she knows by prayer and thanksgiving, she will have the peace of God in and through her life.


Gwinnette Booker

Gwinnette Booker also known as Gwin is a native of Rome, Ga. She is the product of the Rome City School System and a 1982 graduate of East Rome High School. Reared by her parents, the late Clifford W. Thomas and the late Barbara Clopton. She is the mother to Tramaine Booker (Ashley) and the grandmother to Arianna and Kingston Booker of which, both cause her heart to smile. She is an activist at heart and loves helping, encouraging, and teaching others about their rights within the workplace. Not only is Gwin involved in community service, but she encourages others to get involved as well. She strongly believes the scripture; the people perish for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). She is passionate about educating people and providing them the tools, resources, and confidence they need to excel in life. This is the reason Gwin also serves on the Board of Directors for ZOOM International Women’s Ministry. One of her favorite scriptures is in Isaiah 54:17a NO weapon formed against me shall prosper.


Roslyn Sumpter

Roslyn Sumpter was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in Andrews, South Carolina. She attended schools in South Carolina and graduated from Andrews High School in 1979. Roslyn continued her education attending Horry Georgetown Technical College as an Administrative Assistant. She later pursued other studies becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with passion, caring for others in many capacities.

Roslyn is a proud mother of three children and the grandmother of ten grandchildren. Anyone who knows her, knows she loves supporting and encouraging others. She is a member of New Hope UME Church located in Georgetown, SC where she serves as a Class Leader. She is also the Chairperson of the Stewardess and Missionary Boards. Not only does Roslyn lead, but she also serves and is a faithful member of the Steward Board, the Senior and Adult Choir, and the Ministerial Alliance. Most recently, Roslyn is now serving on the Board of Directors for the ZOOM International Women’s Ministry.


Kama B. Anderson

Kama B. Anderson is the youngest of five children to Rev. James J. Anderson and The Late Ilar M. Darby Anderson.  She was born and raised in Andrews, SC, and Bennettsville, SC where her father pastors the Historical Sawmill Missionary Baptist Church.  Kama received her early education from Williamsburg County Schools. Later her family moved to Goose Creek, SC where she attended and received her high school diploma from Stratford High School.

Kama was introduced to Christ at an early age and accepted him as her personal Savior. As a child, Kama was taught to always be found giving God her best.  At an early age, she participated in the family prayer night. It was at the Wednesday night prayer meetings, in the home of her grandparents that Kama was taught and learned how to pray. Providing a living example of a family spending time together in prayer. At the age of 10, the gift of song was discovered, and Kama begin singing on the Sunbeam and Junior Choirs at the Historical Sawmill Missionary Baptist Church.

Kama has extensive leadership background in the healthcare industry, and recently served during the COVID-19 pandemic, assisting in testing, and providing vaccines.  Kama is currently an Accounts Payable Manager in Finance and is furthering her education to receive her degree. Because of her passion, experience and knowledge Kama serves on the board of the ZOOM International Women’s Ministry.

Kama loves spending time with family; especially, her 5 stepchildren and 4 grandchildren. One of her favorite scriptures is Psalm 37:25 because she has never seen the righteous forsaken.


Tonya Jones

Tonya Jones was born in Denver Colorado and is married to Elder Jevon W. Jones for ten years who is the pastor of The Living Stone Christian Church in Denver, CO. Between them they have six children and two grandchildren.

Tonya attended Aurora Public schools and was a track and field star competing in the 4X4 relay races throughout High School. She graduated from William C. Hinkley high school in Aurora, CO earning a full scholarship because of her achievements in track and field. Although she took another path in higher education; she enrolled at the Denver Community College and the Aurora Community College for her general studies. Tonya is two credits short from earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Paralegal Studies from Liberty University and eagerly pursing the completion of those classes. She has also completed online courses for counseling receiving an accredited certificate from the Counseling Related and Educational Programs (CREP). She is a member of the Longmont City Council and participated in community events.

As the First Lady of their church Tonya focuses on supporting her husband and serving the members in any capacity to ensure growth. Even though Tonya seems quiet, she is filled with a great deal of wisdom and knowledge and should not be underestimated. She serves as a Sunday School teacher, Community Outreach, and secretary. Her passion is in administration, and because of her experience as the Secretary at Trinity Temple and Emmanuel Temple in Colorado, Tonya was elected the Secretary for the Board of Directors with ZOOM International Women’s Ministry. She also serves on the Hospitality Committee for the ministry.

Tonya is an ambassador and Beloved Daughter of Jesus Christ. She desires that all come to know and experience the unconditional love of God as she has. One of her favorite scriptures is Isaiah 40:31. Knowing that waiting on God is where she gains her strength; Tonya is able to continue standing in her faith believing she will receive a reward.


Salley Palmer

Salley is married to Leland Palmer for more than thirty-seven years. She is the biological mother of two children and has been blessed with four bonus children. Together they have seventeen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.
Salley was a trailblazer working as the first black secretary at Berkely Charleston Dorchester Technical education center before it became an official college. Salley is a retired Administrative Assistant (Office Manager) from Trident Technical College in North Charleston, SC where she was employed for more than thirty-five years. Because of her strong ability to lead with confidence and the example she always set among her peers, Salley was selected as the Staff Support person of the year. This selection is made by the College and the College is then represented at the South Carolina Technical Education Association (SCTEA) at an annual conference.
After retirement, Salley was also nominated to be the College’s representative for retirees on the Board of Directors of the (SCTEA). Competent in her roles and responsibilities, she received numerous certificates for outstanding performance. Salley is truly a servant at heart and has served as a Mentor to young girls for many years. She also enjoys volunteering with different organizations and spending quality time with family and friends. For Salley; life following retirement has been rewarding.
Salley is a Notary Public for the State of South Carolina. She also served on the district and local levels of the United Methodist Women’s Organization. She attends New Francis Brown United Methodist Church in North Charleston, SC. As a member of New Francis Brown, Salley has served and continues to serve on several committees. In her most recent act of servanthood, Salley was asked to serve on the Board of Directors for the ZOOM International Women’s Ministry and elected as the Chief Financial Officer. Excited about her new responsibilities, Salley is committed to safeguarding that the organization maintains fiscal responsibility while securing the resources necessary to be effective in the accomplishment of the goals of the ministry.
Salley brings a wealth of knowledge to this position having served as the Chairperson of Finance at her local church. In addition, she managed an annual budget of $250,000 for her department in her division at her workplace. Salley is no stranger to managing a great deal
